My Name is Michael “Mick” Balter, and I want to welcome you to my mbaviation-images.com website.

As an aviation photographer I have been photographing various fixed wing and rotary aircraft for over more than 15 years. I have become infected by the aviation bug when I was 10 years old, and dreamed since then becoming a fighter pilot. Growing up next to Nörvenich Airbase in Germany, I could see lots of jets flying every day.

I have an impressive repertoire of fast jet experience, and I´ve had the privilege fly in various jet aircraft including the famous US Navy "Blue Angels" F-18B Hornet.
I was the first German photographer to fly in a TAV-8B Harrier II with the Italian Navy , the Italian Air Force MB.339CD plus many more types around the world. I have gained lots of valuable expertise in this exclusive field of military fast jet photography, that only this unique flight experience can afford guaranteeing editorial quality and reliability too.

As a specialist in producing air-to-air photos (in-flight photography) during several sorties – as a major element in my published articles - my aim is to depict the exciting atmosphere of flying at its most exhilarating best during each mission.
Due to the high standard I have achieved, mbavaition-images.com photographs are also used by many Air Forces for their internal and external public relations purposes following each flight.
Featuring my work, these studies of today´s hi-tech airborne warriors represent the cutting edge in military aviation photography.

Photographs and articles have been published worldwide in numerous aviation magazines such as Air Forces Monthly, Combat Aircraft , Air International , FlyPast , JWings , Flug Revue, Flieger Revue for example.
And on various websites including Air-Scene UK, Scorpion Aviation Photography, Check Six etc..

I hope you like my photographs. If you have any questions or comments, please mail me: info@mbaviation-images.com .
